Recognition of Prioe Learning (RPL)

Students with extensive experience and knowledge within their industry can apply for apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL). Recognition is a process where students are assessed on the skills and knowledge they have gained through work and life experience to give them a formal qualification or statement of attainment. Recognition students are required to provide and/or identify evidence to show their competency rather than completing set learning tasks for each unit. CMC supports and guides students through this process.
RPL is available for individual units or for full qualifications.

Where skill gaps are identified, i.e. the student requires further training to complete a full qualification, CMC offers individual training and support so the student can finish with a complete qualification.

Some students may be eligible for State funding through Skilling Solutions (Queensland only) to support part of the RPL fee.
