Consultancy Service

This service suits those who are seeking casual advice and support from a third party that has industry skills, knowledge and expertise.

CMC Training at Work can support Children’s Services and Out of School Hours Care services with:

  • licensing / re-licensing requirements
  • accreditation
  • the establishment of a new service
  • staff recruitment, issues or support etc.

This service is quite broad and covers an “as needed” basis.
CMC - Training at Work can source supplies for centre set up / maintenance, computer / IT services, marketing and advertising.

Cost of additional materials if required will be quoted to the service as the requirement becomes apparent.  These expenses are payable by the service.

Field Advisory Service

This service is designed to support those services requiring ‘third party’ input into the operation of the service but not necessarily seeking a management type involvement. Aimed at providing the centre with an outside professional opinion on how your service is being perceived by clients and being managed by the director, it is designed to support the Licensee by providing feedback on areas such as:
• Presentation of rooms and foyer
• Observing room configuration in terms of current occupancy
• Auditing currency of information on display to families
• Discussions with Director on industry changes
• Hygiene practices
A visit will be conducted monthly. At the completion of each visit a report will be submitted to the Licensee. The report will include recommendations, and reassurance on areas performing well. The monthly fee also includes any questions answered or phone support required throughout the month by the Licensee or Director. Should the phone calls become excessive, it may be deemed more appropriate to consider management support.

Should the centre require CMC - Training at Work to implement any suggested changes; the cost will be an additional $80 per hour.

Accreditation Support

This monthly service provides for 4 hours of on-the-job support in areas related to Accreditation.

Following each on-the-job visit, an outline of our findings will be presented and a list of suggested improvements will be supplied (if required). As your centre nears review by the NCAC, a mock review can be requested and feedback provided.

Please note this support is only concerned with the relevant Quality Areas and the relation they have to your service maintaining a high quality standard.

The service does not provide for CMC - Training at Work to be addressing any staff management issues, checking utilisation of rooms, or dealing with issues in regard to licensing requirements.

An additional $80 per hour is applied should your service wish CMC Training at Work to implement changes suggested.

Please understand this service is separate to our ability to provide support as outlined by the council as an NCAC Accredited trainer. (Details of this service can be obtained from the NCAC website)
