The new year has started and we'd like to kick off the year by highlighting the
fantastic training opportunities available to you and your staff through CMC Training at Work.
New worker traineeships... places now available
CMC Training at Work has a large entitlement from the Victorian State Office of Training and Tertiary Education to grant traineeship funding for new entrants. This means staff that Victorian employers welcome during 2008 can access funded training through CMC.
Traineeships and apprenticeships are also available in Queensland and South Australia if new workers meet the eligibility criteria.
See our page on traineeships for more information
Changes to rules brought in during 2007 have meant that traineeships are more widely accessible by the workforce.

Existing Workers? RPL? Not a problem...
Even those who've been employed with you for years may be entitled to a traineeship.
If you are an employer, you may be eligible to receive traineeship Commonwealth incentives for both new and existing staff. Traineeships can be used to gain training or RPL or a mixture of both.
Not only that, incentives may now be available for more than one qualification - Certificate & Diploma level!
RPL Traineeships - Newsflash for 2008!
Have you been in the industry for a few years but haven't had the opportunity to fund and/or make the time to go through an RPL process? Well, CMC has a comprehensive, innovative RPL package to get you qualified to the level you need.
In 2008, there is a large focus on RPL so funding opportunities have been introduced by various government departments so we can work towards a qualified workforce.
CMC has a no-fuss, on-site RPL process which saves you hours of evidence collecting. You'll get visits in the workplace from one of our assessors who'll guide and talk you through the process and use questions and answers as part of your evidence of competence. That means you can earn your qualification quickly and get onto the important stuff like running your program!
CMC Training at Work is excited to offer OSHC workers the chance to participate in a new mixed mode delivery model.
This option can be taken up for the Certificate IV and/or Diploma of Out of School Hours Care and includes a regular fortnightly morning class combined with workplace practice and assessment. This gives OSHC students the chance to network with other OSHC services and gain support and structured study sessions from others in similar situations.
