Discipline Policy
PURPOSE
To identify the process to be followed by CMC - Training at Work for students who do not abide by the terms and conditions of enrolment
POLICY
CMC - Training at Work will apply the discipline policy where student behaviour is categorised by one or all of the following situations:
- Students who do not abide by the Student Code of Conduct.
- Students who do not complete required tasks as agreed to in their training plan.
- Students who fail to turn up to organised assessment or support visits without prior notification.
- Students who do not act in a professional manner during the course of their study.
CMC - Training at Work will facilitate this through the following strategies:
-
Meet either by phone or in person with the student to discuss non-compliance with code of conduct
-
For trainees and apprentices, we will meet either by phone or in person with the student's supervisor to discuss areas of non-compliance.
-
For all students, we will discuss and develop a verbal action plan with the student to rectify the issues identified.
-
If the student does not meet the time lines or recommendations in the action plan, CMC will provide a written action plan with recommendations and time lines for completion.
-
If the student continues to fail to meet the time lines or recommendations in the action plan, CMC - Training at Work will meet with the student and the supervisor/employer to recommend and action withdrawal of the student, or to consider any extraordinary circumstances and/strategies which may overcome demonstrated adverse behaviour.
