Recognition of Qualifications
PURPOSE
To provide recognition of all qualifications, statement of attainments and transcripts issued by other RTOs within Australia.
POLICY
Direct Credit Transfer
CMC - Training at Work recognises statements of attainment issued by all Training Organisations within Australia. Where direct code transfers are evident on a student's statement of attainment, a credit transfer is given for each unit matched. The student's trainer/assessor will grant credits during the first visit. Students must make their transcripts available either upon enrolment or at the first visit.
A certified copy of each transcript must be provided to the trainer/assessor and will be kept in the student's file.
Where course codes do not directly match (i.e. they are from older courses), transcripts will be forwarded to the state office where a training and assessment manager will use curriculum mapping documentation and advice from the Curriculum Maintenance Manager to undertake a credit mapping exercise.
For fee-for-service trainees and self funded students, where we are able to provide credit transfer to allow a reduction in the number of visits required, a course fee discount may apply. This will be determined by CMC - Training at Work at the time of completing the transfer and a quote will be provided.
For User Choice trainees and apprentices, student fees will not apply for the units which have been granted credit. Refer to the Fees and Charged Policy for further information.
